Allied Gardens Family Optometry - Vision Therapy
Allied Gardens Family Optometry

When children have difficulty focusing on written words, are at a below average reading level, or are behind in school, it could be due to deficiencies of the eyes. Other common symptoms in children and adults include losing their place while reading, words appearing to move or double, eyes feeling strained, avoiding reading and lacking of concentration.

Vision Therapy re-trains the eye muscles to improve the ability of the eyes to track objects, focus properly, and work together efficiently. Sessions take place at the office once a week for approximately 45 minutes. It may take 8 – 12 visits before the eyes are able to perform at normal levels.

If you notice any of these signs, schedule a routine eye exam with Dr. Monaco. She will look for any deficiencies and may recommend vision therapy.
